Another one of those romantic comedy chick-flick. Look, I don't have anything against chick-flick, I adore it. But sometimes... it gets tiring, 'ya know? Same storylines, same cliché, not original, yadda yadda, yadda... You know the routine and the gist. Makes you just sit there and sigh and sigh in boredom *sigh*.

Tripp (Matthew McConaughey) is a handsome, successfull and outgoing 35 years old, and still lives with his parents, Al (Terry Bradshaw) and Sue (Kathy Bates). Whenever he feels a relationship with a woman is getting too serious, he let her know that he still lives with his parents, so it will put her off and break up with him. His parents hires Paula (Sarah Jessica Parker) to be his girlfriend, so he will falls in love with her and moved out from the house. Another side plot is about Kit (Zooey Deschanel) getting together with Tripp's geeky friend, Ace (Justin Bartha) and also Demo (Bradley Cooper) who also still lives with his parents.

I don't mind romantic comedies, but this is drivel. Very typical; boy meets girl, girl meets boy, they broke up, they get back together. The end. What else? The thing is about this movie, that it's not funny, it's not romantic, and it's just plain blah and boring. I don't see any chemistry between the actors, so I thought; what's the point? There's no romance here. None. Zero. Zip. How do you put  such actors in a movie, and yet have absolutely zero romance or heat or sexual chemistry in the movie? It was predictable, and sexual chemistry between them was not present. Scenes are short and borderline incoherent, or so dumb as to be targeted at an audience too young to care about romance. Even the "funny" moments; those slapstick scenes that are added to films to make you laugh, barely raised a smile. In some scenes we witness a chipmunk, dolphin, mocking bird, and lizard bite the characters for laughs. These scenes remove what lingering plausibility was left in the picture. Background characters are more interesting than those in the forefront, partially because they provide the jokes.

The main characters are also downright not likeable. Matthew's (It's very hard to spell his name!) character, Tripp is downright egoistical, Sarah's (too long to type!) character, Paula is lying all the time, because of her job. And my God, she is old. She's 40 but pretend to be 20/30 something? I could actually see her face lines, and bags under her eyes in close-up scenes. She could use a night cream. This movie might be better if someone else plays the characters; younger cast. I know it sounds harsh, but that's the reality. In this Hollywood business, age matters. I don't care if you are a good actor, but if you look old for your part, it's not fit. The only thing I like about this movie, is about the sidekick story; which is about their best friends. I thought they have more chemistry than the main actors! I like how Kit and Ace are trying to get to each other, and I was wondering why they didn't put this storyline as the main one, because it was nicer. I just wanna say that Bradley Cooper and Justin Bartha are so cute, I was asking myself, how come they didn't get their own movie? Overall, if you like this kinda stinky cheese, eat it. I think this movie is really a failure to impress me.
